Spencers Town have defeated Tates Town in an entertaining match by four wickets to qualify for the final against Olympic Park.

Tates Town won the toss on what looked like a good batting wicket, choosing to Bat.

And what a start it was, with Phillips and Harris putting on 91  before they lost there first wicket, with Phillips brilliantly caught by Spencers Town's Wicket Keeper in Smith for 33, bowled by O'Connor. Then things started falling apart for Tates Town, losing Jones for 8 and then there import Parks for a duck. In just one over the score had changed dramatically, from 0/91 to 3/99.

Tates Town were in desperate need of runs and who better to do that than Tom Banks. The bottom order basher slammed 12 in just four balls before he was clean bowled by Paul De Stewart, who took 2/60 in five overs, going at 12 an over. De Stewart then took the final wicket of Alexander, finishing Tates Town on 133 of just 12 overs. Tates Town Captain Harris lead the way with an expert 76, in which included 13 fours and 2 sixes.

In reply, Spencers Town won with 3 balls to spare thanks to a brilliant Captains knock from Smith, whose 82 of 44 balls got his side over the line.

Other contributers with the bat for the Sonics included Lockyear (27 NO) and Evans (16 NO).

Harris of Tates Town lead the way in the field as well as batting for the Fireballs, taking 2 for 43 of five overs.

Spencers Town will now take on Olympic Park in the Final on Monday. The question has to be raised- Will Spencers Town choke in the final yet again or will they finally win a major cricket trophy? Find out tomorrow...
